Director – NZ Registered LBP/Master Builder
From a young age, Mickey was captivated by architecture and building. What started with rearranging furniture at home evolved into a passion for craftsmanship, leading him to leave a sales career and work hands-on in kitchen installations.
After traveling the world, Mickey moved to New Zealand, seeking a challenge in a new land where he had “no language ability, no money, no permanent residency, no connections, no qualifications, and no family.” Determined to succeed, he enrolled in carpentry school at MIT, quickly earning his builder's qualification. Mickey gained valuable experience working for a Korean development company before founding Japan Homes.
Japan Homes became a platform for Mickey to bring Japanese values—trustworthiness, quality, and attention to detail—into the creation of comfortable, affordable homes. Rooted in Japanese philosophy, the company has built Kiwi homes that exceed client expectations for over a decade.
Now, with a wealth of experience and a proven track record, Mickey is excited to bring Japan Homes to Australia.

Sales Representative
After starting as an investment advisor and financial planner, he became Australia’s only Japanese mortgage broker in 2014. He now offers mortgage advice globally and specializes in managing and selling Australian real estate, with a focus on properties for people with disabilities.

Project Manager
With over 10 years of experience, he excels in construction, development, material supply, and law. Specializing in project management and strategic investment, he delivers creative, flexible solutions across diverse projects and industries.
